Throughout the twenty-two years that Imagination Celebration has developed programs for Fort Worth children, they have encountered some very exceptional talent in children and youth. This exhibit shares the stories and photographs of some of the people who have been touched deeply or transformed completely by their work with Imagination Celebration.
World renowned photographer Lekha Singh agreed to photograph the heroes as a gift to Imagination Celebration. Ms. Singh has taken photographs of people around the world and her work has been featured in National Geographic. Several years ago her African Exhibition was featured at the Fort Worth Community Arts Center as part of an Imagination Celebration program for children. Groups of students are scheduled to come to the Heroes Exhibition where they can read the stories and meet some of the featured Heroes as they perform a dance in the Scott Theater, share their educational travel adventures to the North Pole, play part of a symphony written for Imagination Celebration, and share their experiences as visual artists. This exhibition can be an inspiration to anyone who has a dream, but needs a little encouragement to believe that the dream is possible.
